2012 Toy Run - 15th December

This year's 4th Annual Toy Run, in support of the Salvation Army Toy Appeal was a huge success.  A large number of Toys were donated along with the proceeds from the Toy Run Badge Sales.
Thanks must go to Jeff Atkinson for his wonderful organising so the day's event ran smoothly. Thanks Jeff it was very much appreciated that you took on this project again this year.  Let's hope some more helpers step forward to help with organising events next year.

A big thank you to the Nelson Branch of The Ulysses Club for their support on the day, with several riders coming over to take part.  Thanks especially to Allan Smith for his photos. Also anyone else who travelled from away to take part, and to all our local supporters, thanks heaps.  Cheers everyone.  Nicky B  # 7125

Corodinators Meeting - Wellington - Sat 22nd Sept

Kevin & Nicky attended the Coordinators Meeting in Wellington over the weekend of 21-23rd September.
It was a great meeting with plenty of discussion on a range of interesting topics.  The new Club President, Mike Dew did a great job at chairing the meeting and everyone present participated fully.  Lots of ideas shared.  It was a great social event as well, with plenty of revelry enjoyed after the meeting concluded and well into Saturday night.  Thanks go to a very capable team of Wellington Ulysses members who put on the catering for the full weekend of meals.  Cheers, Nicky & Kevin.

Breakfast at Marfells Beach 22nd July

A keen bunch of five headed out to Marfells Beach for breakfast this morning.  Three on bikes and two in a car.  The conditions were excellent, mild and no ice, grit or wet roads.  Sunrise was hampered by the high cloud but it was perfectly calm and the tide was high.  awesome ride.  Wish more had taken advantage, maybe next year.
Cheers,  Nicky #7125
